One Year Engagement!

Last year, on August 16, 2011 the love of my life asked me to marry him!
I went to school, as it was a pretty normal day.. so, I thought. I came home from school and Sara and my mom went to the "store" so I decided to take a nap, since Matt had a "dentist appointment." I was woke after about 20 minutes. My dad called me to the living room to hear a song. It was, "I loved her first" By: Heartland. Of course, I already heard it. But, I stayed and listened to it. After the first verse, I heard a knock at the door thinking possibly it could be Sara and my mom... But, It was and yet again it kinda wasn't. To my suprise it was Matt down on one knee! Who would have thought that?! He asked me, "Elizabeth Rae Hedges, Will you marry me?" Of course, I said, "yes!" It was perfect! He done it on my grandma's birthday! (The grandma from my mom's side that I am named after!)

Happy Birthday To Me!

I have been pretty busy since school started back Wednesday...







Then Thursday, August 2 was my birthday! I got called up to the office and I got flowers! I texted Matt and asked, if it was him. But, I didn't get his text until after school which said, "maybe lol (:" and another one saying he was picking me and Joni up from High school! I was so happy to see him! When I got home I put my beautiful flower and got them into water. Then he gave me the card it was so cute!
Then I got to open the present... he got me silver sparkle Toms for my birthday! They are adorable! My mom and dad gave me my birthday present early which was money! So I just added it to my school clothes money! After Samuel and Julie got off the bus, everybody sung, "Happy birthday to you!" Then I cut the cake! Thanks momma, daddy, and Matt! (:

So much fun!

Last Tuesday, we went to a back to school bash and me and Samuel decided to take a picture with a purple thing. (I have no clue what it was, Lol) It was very cute though!
Samuel also won two toys!



Then this past Saturday, we went to a water park! My fiance' and my sister Sara's fiance' came along with us. We had a wonderful time! Although we all got burned! It was very fun still! Matt and me took Samuel into the water and watched over him while momma and daddy got ready to get into the water... Samuel would pretend like he was swimming, it was the cutest thing. Then he would start jumping off the side of the pool into the water with his head under water! He has always loved water but he is also very afraid of his head going under! He is getting so brave! Matt and me kept swimming in the 4'6 area while momma and daddy watched Samuel. Then I decided to go off the diving board, into 12'6 water! It was so much fun! Momma and daddy came and joined Sara, Josh, Matt, Julie, and me in the 4'6 water while Joni watched Samuel! We all had great WONDERFUL time!









Yesterday, Joni and momma went over to the high school for Joni's freshman orientation! I can't believe she will be in high school! Joni is very excited but you can still see the fear of being high school in her eyes!

I go Monday, to pick up my class schedule and pay for my locker! I am excited to start my Senior year but, I still don't want summer to end!

Wordless Wednesday.

1 year and 9 months.

Yesterday Matt and me got to go on our date with my mom and dad. We went to an Italian rsturant. Samuel really wanted to go of course I didn't mind and neither did Matt. Matt loves Samuel to death! We also went to Mighty Dollar and the Dollar tree. It was very fun, we all had a great time out together!
Today Matt and me have been together for 1 year and 9 months! I could not picture myself with someone else! He is my best friend and I don't know what I would do with out him! He is truly a blessing to me. He loves me for who I am, and loves my family. He is so sweet to me all the time!

Love and Prayer.

I am in love with the bible verse;

This makes me think of the love Jesus had for us dying on the cross. The love all of our soldiers have for us to fight for our freedom.
Matt has been talking again about possibly joining the military. I told him no. But, what if that's what God is calling him to do?
Did I just tell Matt to tell God no?
He keeps telling me he feels like that is where God is calling him.
I told him to pray about it but I don't know if he has or not because of me telling him no. Matt has always wanted to join the military but he said that all changed when I came along. But, every now and then he tells me he feels that God is calling him to do that. Please pray that God will show Matt what he wants him to do with his life.
